San Diego CA Park Laurel General Information
Park Laurel is a fourteen-floor, high-rise, two-building complex of apartments, townhouses and condos on the edge of historic Balboa Park in the Bankers Hill neighborhood. From the west end of El Prado, residents have a great view of the “crown jewel” of San Diego, and some can see the San Diego bay. Park Laurel is also a short drive from the San Diego-Lindbergh Field International Airport. The complex features 24-hour security and concierge service.

Education
Students have multiple choices for schooling in the Balboa Park area. Schools are run by the San Diego City Unified School District. Washington Elementary School is located nearby, next to Amici Park. Balboa City School, with elementary through high school private education, is four blocks away. There are several other schools at all levels nearby. For college, San Diego City College and San Diego Community College are both at the south end of Balboa Park. San Diego State, Mesa College and Point Loma Nazarene University are not far either. Then, of course, there is the University of California at San Diego in nearby La Jolla, California.
Recreation
Park Laurel has a pool with spa and sun deck, a library, a gym and an entertainment room. Right across the street is the nation’s largest urban park, with a plethora of things to do. The 1,200-acre Balboa park houses the world-famous San Diego Zoo as well as fifteen museums, which tend to be along El Prado, close to Park Laurel. There are also numerous gardens, theatres and athletic facilities. The park has opportunities for hiking, biking, tennis, golf, lawn bowling or simply relaxing. Residents of Park Laurel are also situated in uptown San Diego, just north of downtown.
